In 2015 they issued a 1099C loan forgiveness which I had to file with my taxes. I had to treat this as income and pay the tax on it. They then set up pa payment plan to recover the amount that was forgiven which they claimed on their taxes also. I paid this amount for several years until I started an inquiry and refused to pay them. Then they put a lien on my home. I have spoken to an Attorney and the IRS and I will be starting a lawsuit soon
