Absolutely the worst auto shop of any kind I have ever been to, even after being in the auto business for almost 15 years myself. The transmission on our vehicle had to be rebuilt FOUR times in a 1.5 month period in 2010 by this shop! TWO separate days we were left stranded in the middle of nowhere with our family and dog. The ordeal to get another local mechanic (area of breakdown) to piece it together so we could get home was over 14 hours alone. And TWO separate break downs in one day alone. 2 separate days, 3 break downs in 2 weeks. They left 4 separate wiring harnesses laying on top of the exhaust causing extensive damage as of coarse they all MELTED. All because they couldn't put the harnesses back into their brackets. The sloppiest work either I or the mechanic has ever seen. No exaggeration. Oil leaks immediately after getting it out of the shop...fro the transmission! The vehicle was in the shop for almost a full month because of this sorry excuse for a shop. Multiply the cost of a rental car, time off work, fuel, etc. This shop probably cost us $3,000 on top of the repair. As a former dealer and part owner of a service bay, I have been through plenty of mechanical scenarios. I know what's going on. There is no rational excuse for this BS except that the shop only replaced as little as possible in the original trans, in order to save money, instead of rebuilding it as they were paid to do. They are so ignorant that they didn't figure out dropping and reinstalling the trans, as well as all the rebuilds, COST them thousands rather than making them money. Again they only replaced a few cheap components, one rebuild at a time rather than replace the internals as a shop is paid to do. 4x4 unit burnt out. O2 system, burnt out. Damage to vehicle computer brain. Damage to alternator and charging system. All from burning up the harnesses. Then there is the quote that we needed new lifters at $2,000. Another mechanic diagnosed and fixed in less than 6 minutes. It was a rubber electrical plug that was loose and causing knocking, not lifters. These morons are true amateur shade tree mechanics.
