I almost lost a new job opportunity because of Hire Right. Reading through the recent reviews, my experience with this firm was exactly the same. They could not seem to "get in touch" with my previous employer, despite FOUR contact numbers provided to them. Hire Right claimed the numbers were "out of service." I called and got right through. There was also a "technical issue" on Hire Right's end related to their online portal that caused a delay, yet they refused to accept responsibility and a Hire Right supervisor argued with me after definitive proof. They misplaced files, overlooked information, made assumptions about information, and on one instance, simply got it wrong. In the end, I became so frustrated that I called my new employer, who was also getting frustrated with Hire Right's slow response time, and just gave them the information myself. You get what you pay for. Hire Right is much cheaper than many background check firms -- and it shows in their poor quality. I made sure that my new employer knew what Hire Right had done. My new employer thanked me for cleaning up Hire Rights mess.
